hello!

I’m Ania Poisson and I am the creative behind the imperfekt studio. 

My approach to photography and subsequently the name for the studio was born out of the need to counteract the contemporary trend - not only in photography - of chasing everything “perfect”, and resulting in indistinct, monotone, homogeneous imagery to scroll past. 

This furry assistant of mine - I have more - is Rocky, and we commit photography and  graphic design out of the former gold mining village of Gold Hill in Colorado. Nestled at about 8500 feet on the east slope of the Rocky Mountains we do not have any oxygene nor water to waste on “schnick-schnack”, if you know what I mean. Like the surrounding environment our work is genuine and cut to the chase.
